Olympics

I don't think I like the 2006 Olympic medals. What's with the big hole in the middle? If I won an Olympic medal, I'd want the whole medal, not some donut on a string. Speaking of fugly, what is with the uniforms this year? Nothing is the least bit attractive. The Canadian speed skaters are partially wrapped in saran wrap. I don't get it. Those pinstriped things on the American snowboarders? What are they, too big Yankee uniforms? Blech. The figure skaters are extra tacky this year. People may be sick of Michelle Kwan, but at least she had tasteful style. I'm beyond bored with these games, for the first time I can remember. I can't stay awake late enough to see who wins anything. The coverage is worse than ever. *yawn*

Haha! The first thing I thought when I saw the skiing outfits was that they looked like they were wearing Yankees uniforms.

I did kind of like the medals with the holes though. Although I've been disillusioned ever since I found out the gold medals aren't solid gold. They're just gold-plated! That's bogus.

You know what I really didn't like? I don't know if this was new this year, or if I just haven't been paying attention, but I hated this trend of female skaters wearing what looked like mens' costumes - you know, the long pants/bodysuit-type outfits. Ug. ly.
