Ego Boost!

So, the interview went well. Luckily, the interviewer didn't ask too many of those typically awful interview questions. Given that I was recommended for this postition by the nurse who's in charge of the practice, I was suprised when I was asked for a couple more professional references. I haven't worked in close to 10 years, so I was in a slight panic about getting in touch with former supervisors.

It took me a couple of days to track people down, but I'm glad I did. First, I called one of the doctors I used to work with, who was also a good friend at the time. He happily agreed to be a reference, and went on to tell me about the medical venture he was involved in now. Then he said, if this job didn't work out for me, he'd get me a job, no problem! I thought that was really sweet of him, and it made me feel great.

Tracking down my next potential reference was a bit more difficult. It's been close to 15 years since I've worked with this woman, and while I knew where she worked now, I had to go through a couple of old friends to get her number. When I finally talked to her, she also agreed to be my reference, and then she told me I should come to work for her!

So, after all this time lounging in my pjs, it made me feel great to know that I've still got some good contacts out there, and that I could get a job if I really needed to.

I think you should only be able to work when I am working.
So I will expect you home by 2:30.

( Supes is lying- like we're going to believe he wears pjs)
