*Blows of the coat of rust*

Hello Nameless Blog. It's been some time since I even checked in here. I'm happy I haven't been taken over by a herd of spam responders. Maybe I should stop by occasionally and update.

Goodbye 2007

....Don't let the door hit you in the ass on your way out.

What a craptastic crapfest of a year that was.

*cheers to 2008*

Quick Update

I've finally done it, I quit smoking. It's been an entire week, and I will not go back. No way, no how. I'll come back later to tell you how I did it, even with Mr. true still puffing away. Grrrrr.

Hello, friends.

It's been a few months since I've updated, and it's likely that you've given up on checking in over here. Oh well, I'm still around, if a lot less often. I used to spend so much time online, I wonder how I got anything done. Oh, that's right, I didn't.

Along with my part-time job, I've been spending the last couple of months glued to DVDs of The Shield. I really think this series is the best.tv.series.EVER. I can't believe I missed it as it originally aired. Well, yes I can belive it since I've watched little other than reality tv shows for the past 5 years. To think, I was probably watching something as awful as The Bachelor when I could have been following The Shield! I just have to wonder what else I've missed. I'm just thankful that shows are on DVD. What a great way to watch a series. Just sit down and have a nice marathon of episodes. Love it!

Other that that, I spend my limited online time checking in at http://areyouseriouslyreadingthis.blogspot.com/ Chris, your stories are amazing, and seriously, if I could only get one website on my computer, I'd pick your blog. Thank you for sharing your life with all of us. Oh, and for those of you who somehow have missed it, get over there now. You will thank me.

Great News! We are duck free this summer. Sure, those filthy creatures are still waddling around nearby, but thanks to Buddy, the wonder dog, they've stayed out of the pool! I didn't even have to run my trap of overhead fishline this year. YAY!

Now for the not so great news. It's been almost a year since my dad was diagnosed with cancer. He'd been doing great through his first round of chemo, but this second round seems to be kicking his ass. He's really in a funk, mood wise, and he's losing his appetite. I don't know how long he'll survive on Steak n' Shake milkshakes. If you have a moment, I'd appreciate any good thoughts you can send his way.

One last thing. I'm seriously considering quitting smoking. Again. I like Tech's lead of quitting on July 4. It's my tentative date to quit. Quitting has really been consuming my thoughts for a long time now. I go to bed each night thinking I'll quit tomorrow. I cave with that first cup of coffee. Gawd, I want to quit, I know I should quit, but I don't quit. While your here, send some quitting thoughts my way too.
